Playroom=Disaster Zone

Between playing dress up, arts and crafts, blocks, cooking in the kitchen, and dolls, the playroom becomes a disaster zone. Basically the best day ever.......until it was time to clean up.

Jack meets the swing

OK so, the other at my mom's house Jack was getting a little fussy and I was trying to remember when I first put Addie Jane in the "Johnny Jumper", which we pretty much used as a swing at first. She loved it so much. I thought she was around 4 months but at this point I was going to try anything. I couldn't believe it! He loved it and actually sat in there for about 30 minutes or so, which for Jack is AWESOME! Jack is a wonderful baby, when are holding him, but putting him down for long periods of time can sometimes be difficult. I wish I could just sit and hold him and watch him smile all day, but I need to give Addie Jane the attention she needs also, and now I have found my new secret weapon. Ha.

Gymnastics

Addie Jane so excited about her metal!

Mrs. Holly giving Addie Jane her metal
doing a little stretching....

BIG JUMP!

and again....

Learning to touch her feet on the bar
Climbing back up for another jump
Doing to the high balance beam with Mrs. Holly
still trying!!!

Today was award day at Addie Jane's gymnastics class. So far in gym she has learned; a forward roll (on the ground and balance beam), a backwards roll, to pull up on the bars, walk the low beam by herself, and jump off the big blocks. I love watching her play and interact with the other kids in the class. Today all the kids in the class received metals, so cute. We had so much fun and I took a lot of pictures so I thought I would share them.

I am blessed.

My babies are amazing. God has blessed us tremendously. They make me smile as soon as I wake up in the morning, and even in the middle of the night sometimes. Jack changes everyday, smiling so much now, and trying to laugh. He is starting to get those cute chunky baby legs and cheeks. Addie Jane is starting to say sentences. Her favorite thing to say is, "Baby Jack WAKE UP!!" She loves to play with him, and honestly she hasn't been half as jealous as I was expecting. She is still constantly changing all the time, and learning new things. This week she starting saying "stop it", I am thinking she is getting into her terrible 2's. She goes "mommy no, stop it" all the time. Ha, I have really got my hands full, but I LOVE it. Being a mom is greatest gift anyone could ever receive. God is great, and with Him all things are possible.

Back to work...

OK, it has been 12 weeks since I left work, today was my first day back, but I didn't realize how much I miss work. I don't think it is necessarily "work" I miss, but the people I work with that I miss. We have all become such good friends in the 2 years I've worked there. For me, it is nice to have conversations with people who can actually understand me, ha. Everyone I work with is amazing. We are all very different, yet are great friends. I guess when you are around someone everyday you learn to just laugh at the little things that might usually bother you. I think sometimes we have a too much fun together, especially on Monday's. Monday's at work are generally slow, it was nice to come back on a slow day. So far I have remember almost everything, not much has changed. I am a little rusty on giving out gift cards, but you know that happens. Our system has been updated, but basically the same. Addie Jane starts Mother's Day Out at Whitesburg Baptist Academy next week, she calls it "school" and is so excited. Since her school starts next week, I am only working one day this week so my poor mom doesn't have to watch both babies all day again, they can be a handful. I am slowly easing back into a normal work week, but still part time. I miss the babies tremendously. I feel like it is always nice to have a break, it makes you really appreciate the time you have with them.

I am in love....

..............with Baby Jeremiah! He was born Thursday night, 6lbs 11oz, 20 inches long. He is wonderful and I must say, extremely alert to be just 2 days old. He and Jack look so adorable up next to each other. Even though they are only 11 weeks apart, it makes a huge difference. Addie Jane was talking about "baby Jeremiah" the whole way to the hospital. When we got there, of course she was saying "Addie hold, Addie hold." over and over. When she finally held him she put her hands on his little face, and just squeezed it, poor thing. Jeremiah didn't even notice, bless his heart. Jack is use to the abuse from his big sister. We all had a wonderful trip to Birmingham, and I just can't wait to see baby Jeremiah again soon. My sister-in-law Julianne and her husband Micah are very blessed. God has blessed our family tremendously and we are very thankful.

Jack's 2 month check up

Today Jack had his 2 month checkup, even though he is technically 11 weeks, but anyhow Dr. Stewart had nothing but wonderful things to say. I absolutely love our pediatrician. Jack just looked at him and smiled. Jack is such a morning baby. Right when he wakes up he is all smiles. Jack is 23 inches long now, and weighs 13.2 pounds. He is one pound away from doubling his birth weight, I am a very proud Mom. His head size is great and Dr. Stewart said, "Ashley, he isn't just close to perfect, he is perfect, everything looks amazing. Great job!" I was extremely happy to hear that, he had gotten the awful stomach bug on Sunday, it scared me half to death, but he is doing much better. He is a little fighter. He had to get 3 shots today, but he only cried for about 5 mins. Poor baby. Now he is ready for some Alabama Football tomorrow yay. ROLL TIDE.

Addie Jane is becoming more musically gifted everyday. She sings songs such as; "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", her "ABC's", "Rain Rain Go Away", "Jesus Loves Me", and many more. We are so proud of her. Jentry's family is very talented, so I know that is where she gets it. Jentry and I both love the fact that Addie Jane is talking a lot more, not only when she needs or wants something, but just to say something like, "I love you", or the color of something. At this stage her favorite thing to do is, play doll house and boss around Mack, our 1 and half year old boxer. This morning, although it is only 9:00, we have already played doll house, dress up, colored pictures, and in the process of putting rollers in her hair, just like Mommy. She is such a blessing, I could never imagine my life without her.
Jack on the other hand, not suprisingly ahead of schedule, is already trying to roll over. Everyday he is growing, and changing. I forgot how much those little newborns change just from day to day. It is a little early for him to be hitting all of his major milestones, but he is smiling a lot more which makes Jentry and I, both, extremely happy. I have come to a decision that he looks more like me than Jentry. Jack's eye's are bigger than Addie Jane's were, and I think his will be blue. So adorable. I am excited to see the changes in him in the next few months. All in all he is holding his head up great, sleeping about 5-7 hours straight a night, making great eye contact, and trying to roll over. We are so proud of him.

Playroom Crafts

Addie Jane is such a great helper. This afternoon we painted and did crafts. She did most of the glueing, which was kind of messy but fun. I can already tell she is going to be a fantastic artist. She was so proud of her work.

These are bulletin boards I made for Addie Jane and Jack's playroom. They are made from wood cutouts I found at Hobby Lobby and just plain canvases. I painted the cutouts and glued them on a canvas. The elephant one is of course, for Alabama. The total cost was about 11$ and I think they are adorable! I am thinking I am going to do a couple more for their bedrooms.

Playing with my computer.... ha

OK, the MacBook is amazing for many reasons, but one is the hysterical pictures you can take. It has an application called "photo booth" with different settings that will change the shape of your face. There is a little camera that is built in at the top of the computer, the MacBook makes everything so easy. Addie Jane and I will sit in front of the computer for hours just making funny faces. We have already had so much fun! Here are just a few we have took so far. I think Addie Jane and Jack look like cartoon characters. Every time I look at these pictures I just crack up laughing!!

Well it's that time of the year again....

Yes, it is that time when we are suppose to make those annoying little New Year's resolutions. Some last and well, some do not. Here are a few of mine:

1. Loose weight. I am not talking about just loosing weight but also getting back into shape. After 2 babies in 2 years I am not exactly in my old body, but I am still young and now I am done, so basically its happening!

2. Run on the treadmill at least a mile everyday. Preferably 30-45 min but let's be serious I have two babies, so that's highly unlikely.

3. Get organized. I am one of those people that from just a quick glance at the house it looks clean, and organized, but wait, it is defiantly not! I have an extra room in my house that pretty much just has junk. If we don't have a place to put something, or better yet just don't want to put something up right then, it goes in the "back room." I would really love to make this an Alabama room for Jentry. So, as of now, that is my plan. Wish me luck.

4. Do some gardening. My mom and mother-in-law are both just amazing at gardening, and their yards look fabulous. It makes a huge difference with the overall look of the house. So Jentry and I have both decided this year we are going to transform our yard. I hope.

5. No babies in 2010!! Ha ha.... but really I am being serious!
